The Blausen Anatomy & Physiology iPad app is an interactive textbook for students. It contains images, animations, and 3D rotatable models. This was one of my first projects as a UI designer. Compared to moderns app design of the 2020s, this app definitely shows its age. However, it did match skeuomorphic trends of the early days of app design.

My goal for this app was to design it like a real textbook populated with rich media. I divided the content into chapters and figures, and added the ability to “take notes” on a section that looked like a real notepad. Again, very skeuomorphic of the times.
