Hello, I'm Ernie.

Most recently, I was Head of Design at Servy providing oversight on product design & creative efforts, including spearheading the award-winning design of Servy’s flagship kiosk and mobile app experiences. I coordinated among the technology, marketing, and product teams to ensure optimum user experience across Servy’s digital solutions and served as a resource in the development of creative assets.

Further, I was instrumental in the development of the Servy rebrand from Grab, creating the visual identity of Servy. I have a strong design and user experience background, having created mobile experiences for other startups and serving as Art Director for marketing and media studios.

I hold a BA in English and Radio, Television, and Film from The University of Texas at Austin.

Senior UI/UX Designer, 2023–Present

  • Led visual and interaction design efforts through regular collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and users.

  • Translated concepts and business requirements into an end-to-end user experience using low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity visual comps, and interactive prototypes.

  • Helped reduce fraud by integrating prevention tools within the account opening workflow.

Servy (formerly Grab), Houston, TX

Head of Design, 2015–2022

  • Principal UI/UX designer for Servy’s B2B suite of web apps, self-service kiosks, and dashboard management software for restaurants and retail.

  • Designed the award-winning kiosk experience for the Red Rooster family of restaurants in Australia.

  • Collaborated with restaurant, travel, and hospitality groups to integrate a customized product experience into the Servy ecosystem.

  • Created concepts, wireframing, prototyping, and design system.

  • Designed a broad range of media from print/digital collateral to window signage to large-scale tradeshow booths.

  • UI designer for the Bitmado app on Android, which became a featured app on the Google Play store.

  • Created concepts, wireframing, prototyping, and design system.
